How to easily find job in UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi)?

Thousands landing in UAE airports every year in a dream of living and having a quality life.

For starting a new career in UAE, Job hunting is always been a challenging period. I have already done many research in getting interviews, finding company information, job consultants due this period. We have to prepare emotionally & physically in this period to be successful.

The best time period for job hunt is after the Ramadan & Eid Al Adha holidays. During this period ( Jun-Aug) many senior management personals will be in summer holidays and it will be hard to roam around in the city.

The first part of hunt begins will be updating resume/cv with new contact and address details. Freelancing jobs are widely in UAE market. Add below tips also in your job search checklist:

Professional CV / Resume with Cover letter

Candidates whose CV’s are badly formatted, spelling errors, and lack of appropriate skills & contents will be discarded immediately . Always make sure to update regularly and match with the job description providing by the companies. 5 ways to update CV/ Resume is explained here. In case of cover letter, i prefer to keep a short one including your basic details matching to job.

5 important things to check before sending Cv to recruiters !

Finding job consultants and portals details:

Prepare a list of available job portals and consultant details in UAE. Make sure to register in all portals with appropriate information.

Networking:

Collect contact list of Seniors/ Classmates who are now working in UAE. Make sure to know them your looking for a job and to update the contact number.

Update Linkedin Account:

Since the way HR staffs finding the talents changed a-lot and everything move to online systems. Linkedin, as a social networking website offers a wide range of services for HR to find the talents easily. Updating Linkedin will help to job seekers profile directly to HR.

Use the power of Reference:

Many people are using reference from people working in UAE market to get into Interviews and then end up in Job.

Beware of suspicious job offers:

Many fake job offers and calls will come while hunting desperately for a job here. Never fall in to those prey and pay for them. Every companies will have a professional system to conduct direct interview and before selecting a candidate.

Upgrade your Skill & Knowledge :

Use time wisely ! Prepare yourself to make the best fit for the job. I recommend to conduct a self research about UAE market situation, public & private companies, free zones, work ethics etc. This will help to boost confidence while attending the interview. Also free online courses are available to study and get certified during free time.

Shortlist the target companies and applying directly:

Make a list of target companies that you wish to apply and apply directly in company websites. Send a separate email using cover-letter if you cannot apply directly.

Calls from HR & Interviews :

Always try to talk slowly, confidently when you receiving the call. Make sure to keep a hard copy of resume to explain details via telephone. Ask the company details, place and to send an email so that you can search the job description and business processes. During interviews, keep a copy of resume & certificates and reach on time. I explained about Interview tips in my other blog.

Get ready to differentiate yourself from masses of other candidates who are competing with you. The chances will improve if you have better experience, skill certifications, multi language etc.

Best wishes for a great hunt and feel free to contact.
